Throwing out the baby

Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
Romans 7:24-25 ESV

I was getting read to write a few more blogs and noticed that I still have the Fresh Fire Ministries link on my "Most Fruitful" ministries links.

However, I considered removing it, but then I also considered the fact that Todd Bentley is no longer involved with the ministry he started. Considering what's happened and how it went down, has proven to me that "church leadership" needs a major revival itself.

It's also proven to me that I myself can't keep hoping to see God use me for the Kingdom of God while not walking in a level of integrity that far exceeds the common man's. Isn't it far better to suffer with Christ rather than to suffer for our sins? (1 Pe. 2:19-21)

I didn't want to remove the Fresh Fire link from my Fruitful Ministries listing just yet. I'm holding out hope that what's happened will result in that leadership change and that we'll see even more out of the Abbotsford, B.C. ministry in the months and years to come.

Fresh Fire Ministries still has fruit. We all make mistakes and Todd's was just made public. I've heard all the stories about leaders being held to higher accountability and this is true; however, we should support him in his efforts at recovery because he ain't done yet!!

Michael,

Thanx for your spirit restoration.
I assume your comment on leadership change is regarding the "apostles" that became involved in Lakeland.

I personally believe that this whole episode was for the sake of exposing sin to help remove it and take us all to a higher level of purity.

May God have mercy on us, Todd Bentley, and the leadership that has struggled to lead based upon relationship rather then postion and titles.
